Spring Trend Alert...
Happy Friday friends,
A quick post on fashion pieces that are giving me the feels this week. I just finished the Bravo's Project Runway season 18 (my very favorite show) episode on avant garde looks-that I LOVED. Nina Garcia is actual goals. However, you'll see my current favorite pieces are certainly more classically cute. A studded denim moment, faux leather leggings (you basically must own these), rose gold hoops, a leopard pump, blush pink ruffle sleeve moment and SUNNIES for days.
In 2016, I held true to a mantra for the entire year...."Just wear it". Yes. Profound, ha! A word of encouragement coming at ya'll... If something is a bit outside your comfort zone, but you think it is fabulous-just wear it people. Worried you are going to trip and fall headed into church wearing leopard pumps? Totally possible. But, if you love em'-- you go girl. Worried your leggings are going to cut off circulation to your lower extremities? Totally possible- less likely, so just go for it. How is anyone supposed to have a signature style if you don't go for it?
I get asked about sunglasses a lot. I'm ALL about big sunglasses. At this point, I can't even see without them. They make me feel in disguise when I'm at Walmart without makeup buying toilet paper. They make me feel fabulous with a statement lipstick. And they make every outfit feel more put together. Grab a few and let me know if they hold the same magic for you-I'm betting they do.
Tonight's Project Runway episode referenced our beloved movie, Clueless...“No, she’s a full-on Monet. It’s like a painting, see? From far away, it’s OK, but up close, it’s a big old mess” – Cher. Made me laugh out loud, life goal, don't be a fashion Monet! Get the sunnies, they complete the look.
