Gift Guide for Girls in Your Life

Updated: Jun 3, 2020

Christmas time is here! Time to celebrate the most wonderful season of all.

Valentines Day. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Happy Gifting!

Michael Buble is singing, Hallmark movies are always on (I've watched three so far), Starbucks all day everyday, (Chai Tea latte's w/no added water & cinn. powder), beanies, leggings & cozy socks are a justified luxury.

You need something special for your mom, sister, daughter, wife, auntie and friends? Here are some of my favorite gift ideas, Good luck!

*Note: If you are looking for something special for someone you have been dating for one minute, keep things light. No need to go full How to Loose a Guy in Ten Days "Our Family Album"....

I will update this post as Christmas gets closer to make sure items are all in stock and ready to make your people feel loved!

1. Perfume

The perfect scent: a signature scent is the goal. Also a scent loved by the person who loves you!

My current favorite scent is Alien by Muglar, if you're out and about at Ulta or Sephora-give it a spritz to see if you love it like I do. I think this has a more romantic vibe than a gift for your grandma would...maybe just keep that in mind, ha!

Sephora Perfume Sampler: pay $65 for the cutest little box full of 13 sample size perfume bottles. Your loved one gets to try 13 different scents and the best part---it comes with a promo card redeemable at Sephora for one full size bottle of perfume. I loved it! My husband's coworker, Tiffany helped him choose this gift-Kudos to her! This sampler has many tried and true scents, so this would be a good place to start for someone who hasn't chosen their favorite scents yet.

2. Watch Band

Apple Watch Band... from Amazon ya'll. Our treasured Apple watches can rock a serious makeover with a new band or two without breaking the bank. My bestie, Sarah Myrick (yes the same esteemed blog photog), is queen of Apple products. Her and her hubby Adam, literally guide me in all things Apple. Levi is supposed to be chair of our family technology committee, but he refuses his post. He also refuses that I go full Monica Gellar and make committees for household tasks... whatever, point of the story, check out the below band options as affordable and chic. A perfect gift! Well, assuming the receiver already owns the watch.

3. Olivia Pope's Wine Glasses

These are the most chic and fabulous wine glasses. Your chic girl needs them in her life asap.

4. 4 Things Tote

Every product sold on The Shop Forward follows the mission of supporting programs and organizations that are effectively working to help others around the world. Some of the causes they've supported: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, TEEM Haiti, i'mME, Capital Area Food Bank, Andy Roddick Foundation, Austin Pets Alive, Musicians on Call, White Heart Foundation, and more!

An adorable gift, ethically made and supports awesome organizations-this is a perfect choice! Mine would say 1. Coffee 2. Lipstick 3. Leggings 4. John Mayer #basic.

5. Personalized Necklace

Made by Mary personalized bar necklace - Name of your kiddo, pet, an inside joke-whatever! These necklaces are so cute and on trend. An easy choice for something fabulous! I have one that says "Kennedy" that my sweet friend Caitlyn got for me when my baby girl was born-I seriously love it. Just so special.

6. Cozy Blanket

Okay a cutie blanket is just such a fabulous gift! Your mom will love it-your girl will love it-your living room will love it. I picked some in a few different price points

Did you choke when you saw the price on that sucker? Stay with me, let's check some less costly versions:

The Pottery Barn version has Poms!

Finally, A Target version for just $10! Certainly not as luxurious as the Barefoot Dreams or Pottery Barn blanket, but still so soft and cute. I have the pink one and just love it especially for travel when I wouldn't want to take my really beloved blankets.

7. Lipstick

Okay, every girl loves a little glamour. Even if for her, that means a fresh chapstick set.

If you're buying for a glamour girl- grab this red lipstick: Ruby Woo by MAC Cosmetics

If you're buying for a low key gorgeous girl who loves subtle makeup-grab this shade of pink: Brave by MAC Cosmetics

If you're buying for a gorgeous gal who wouldn't be caught dead in bright lipstick-grab this little gem for some lippy love (add it to something else, just chapstick may have you sleeping in the dog house): Burts Bees Natural Moisturizing Lip Balm

Okay, hopefully this gets you started on inspiration in your gift giving. I will have a series of these gift guides coming out as the holidays near. Good luck!

** I know we have Christmas just around the corner, but there are also plenty of other reasons to buy gifts this time of year. If your special someone has a birthday this time of year: Make sure and get your girl signed up as a Starbucks rewards member at least 7 days before her birthday so she can enjoy her free drink on her birthday. Grab her coffee then take her to Kendra Scott to indulge in jewels! Kendra Scott offers a FABulous birthday promo-any one item for 50% off! How fun!
