Oklahoma City Date Ideas

As all crime podcast junkies know... and what Oprah taught me as a kid... you must never be taken to a second location. Ever. Jump out of a moving car if you must... However, when OKC date night’s are the topic, the exact opposite rule applies-especially for parents. You’ve got a babysitter. You used your good mascara. And you’ve definitely got a list of places you’ve been meaning to try. So I say, ALWAYS take it to another location! When Levi and I have date night in OKC, I always insist we visit at least two eateries, coffee shops or dessert cafes. It makes us feel like travelers in our city-tourists in our own town-excited to experience something new. Below are just a couple examples of what I mean... I hope this inspires your next OKC Date Night. And I hope you’ll find this category of my blog to be a resource you can come back to time and time again.

Date Night Idea 1

The Bradford House for a Drink | Frida Southwest for Dinner

I love this date because both establishments are eclectic in style-sure to inspire creative conversation over delicious offerings. I’d argue that FRIDA is our best overall establishment in town... their food is delicious (plus their GF & Vegan options match their regular menu), drinks are fabulous and the space is warm and modern (*be sure to snap a pic in the all pink monochrome restroom to honor your gorgeous-out-on-the-town-selfie).

Date Night Idea 2

Stock & Bond | Vast for a Romantic City View for Dessert & Coffee

*I love this date for making a special occasion out of anything-celebrating another week of keeping yourself healthy or even keeping small humans alive . Savor the art of dating your partner in a post 2020 world-we’ll never underestimate the value of health again... we’ll never take dining out or getting our hair done at a salon for granted again. Life is a gift, reason enough to dress fancy and spend time with loved ones over a fancy date.

Casual DAY DATE Idea 3

Cafe Cuvee for Brunch | Stroll Chirps & Cheers | Commonplace Books | MODE Fashion in Midtown | Harvey Bakery for Lunch

*I love this date as a casual Saturday stroll with your partner or friend. You’ll eat glorious food at Cafe Cuvee hidden inside the historic Ambassador Hotel. You’ll giggle at cheeky stationary at Chirps & Cheers. You’ll be an intellectual queen at Commonplace Books. And MODE fashion will surely have a gorgeous pair of shoes for you to click around in while en route to neighboring shops & boutiques. Lastly, a second food stop for good measure never hurts. I love sitting by the bakery at Harvey watching staff roll croissants and cookies (Linzers are our favorites)... gives me Mainstreet Disney Vibes. Enjoy this date again and again, in fact you’ll probably spot Levi and I on the same route with our little girly in tow.
