Courtney’s New York City Recap

My husband and I love to pop up to NYC in December to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We honeymooned in the city in 2012 and “go back to December all the time...” This year, I snuck in an extra weekend for a girl’s trip celebrating my sister’s

40th birthday. I put together a list of favorite stops, eateries and insider tips including fashion below...

Cue the Devil Wears Prada opening montage of fabulous women clicking down the NYC streets headed for bagels and coffee.

Your shoe game is critical girl, chic sneakers are the way to go, try these nikes here or if you have time to break them in, go nike blazer high top sneakers here. A broken-in-boot is also allowable and of course you have the change-upon-arrival option if you have a heel or statement shoe ready to shine. Make sure and have a few pairs of fabulous sunglasses like these or these

Now for favorite stops, eateries and insider tips...

One if By Land Two if By Sea

You’ll find it nestled in the West Village on Barrow street with an ever beautiful piano carol playing. The restaurant operates within the historic landmark carriage house- said to have been owned by Aaron Burr - built in 1767. The decor is “Haunted Mansion Chic”...if you see an old fashioned and a cabernet on the table near the stairs, consider yourself haunted by the ghost of Courtney and Levi... we’re friendly ghosts though- we’ll tell you what to order and that your outfit looks amazing. Stay on theme for the evening and head to the Richard Rodger’s Theatre to see Lin Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton” on Broadway....

”They’ll tell the story of tonight”...

Palma

Someone asked for the whereabouts of delicious Italian food... “a place on Cornelia Street” I say casually in the car...

A setting made for a rom com...we like sitting in their heated courtyard, drinking chardonnay while making grand plans. The meal will inspire you just the same I’d imagine. After your meal, stroll down to 23 Cornelia street to snap a pic of the dreamy loft where Taylor Swift lived while writing her “Lover” album. “We bless the rains on Cornelia Street...Memorize the creaks in the floor”

Estiatorio Milos

located in Hudson Yards across from the new landmark art installation, The Vessel. Mediterranean dreamscape with amazing views. Check out these gorgeous GREEK Spreads and Grilled Vegetables.

RH New York in the Historic Meatpacking District

Window shop at Hermes on the corner of 46 Gansevoort St and 9 avenue then head up to the top floor of the Restoration Hardware Gallery just across the street to brunch. It’s a beautiful view of the city and a delicious spread...

SERRA Rooftop Restaurant

A chic countryside ambiance reminiscent of southern Italy. This utterly instagramable jewel is hidden on top of the Eataly immersive marketplace. See the Flatiron building and you’re close. The food and drinks were deliziosa. The full bodysuit I wore this evening is so comfortable and flattering-plus will help keep you cozy... snag it here and wear it under high waisted denim.

Los Tacos...

We spent all of our money on dinner and shopping so we love a casual delicious taco moment...add an ice cold mexican diet coke and float on up to Heaven. My Favorite Shopping neighborhoods are SoHo and 5th Avenue... One of my favorite girly girl travel traditions is to get a manicure or a blowout at a local salon. While in NYC, I also love sitting on the steps of the Museum of Metropolitan Art pretending I’m there for the Met Gala... What can I say? Your girl loves fashion.

PS if you hear someone yelling a less “PG” version of the below... just keep power walking babe...

“Ladies and gentlemen frost yourselves”
